Sally Smith, FNP is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with experience in Emergency, Hospital, and Family Medicine.

She completed a Bachelor’s of Arts in Spanish from the University of Puget Sound, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from South University.

Sally is the owner and operator of Illumination Medicine. She specializes in healing in altered states. She has seen ketamine help individuals make powerful transformational shifts where other treatments have failed. Her desire is to create a safe space for healing and personal empowerment.

Sally has studied ceremony, traditional healing, and plant medicine in the Peruvian Amazon, where she interned for a year with traditional healers after completing her Nurse Practitioner degree. Upon returning to New Mexico from Peru, she worked  with Sunrise Medical in Emergency and Hospital Medicine in Santa Rosa, NM and in Family Practice in Las Vegas, NM. 

Sally serves as Traditional Medicine Director to Amazon Promise, a non-profit medical outreach organization in Peru bridging traditional healing with western medicine. She also has Shamanic leadership training through the Power Path School of Shamanism.

She is a member of the The American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists and has additional ketamine administration training through Polaris Insight Group.

Sally offers personalized, comprehensive care plans with an integrative medicine approach. She values caring for the whole person and honors the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical layers that comprise health. 

In her free time she enjoys hiking with her dog, traveling, communing with friends and family and spending time in nature.
